Once you’ve added some products, uploaded a logo and created some pages in the website builder, you can have a look to see how your shop and website is shaping up. This is what your customers will be seeing, so it is a good idea to check this often.

    View online

From your Little Big Shop admin Dashboard, click on the ‘View Online’ link which is located towards the top right of your admin console.

When you click the ‘View Online’ button, you get taken to your website’s ‘Home’ page if you’ve created one, otherwise you’ll be taken to the ‘Shop’ page if no home page has been created.
Below is an example of a home page. Every Little Big Shop will have a default ‘Shop’ link as part of their main menu. Any additional pages you add to your website, such as a ‘Home’ page, ‘Contact us’ page etc will automatically be added to the main menu. Your shop will also have a ‘Category’ menu, with at least one category – All products.

    Shop

To view the products in your shop, you can click on either the ‘Shop’ link in the main menu or the ‘All products’ link in the category menu.

    Login | Register

To the top left of the screen, you will see the Login | Register link. This is where existing customers of your shop can log in to their account, or for new customers to register, or create an account, for your shop. For more information on what your customers can do to log in or register, read this article on Customer accounts.

    Search icon

Clicking on the ‘Search’ icon at the top right of the screen displays a search box. Customers can use this to search for products by either using a key word, SKU (product number), Product name or description.

Any matching results will appear as you type. Clicking on any of the results in the list will take the customer to the specific details of the product, or alternatively, the can click on ‘View all’ which will display all results.

    Customer wishlist

When looking through your products, a customer may wish to favourite an item by clicking on the heart icon for that product. This saves the product to a ‘wishlist’. A wishlist makes it easier for a customer to find favourite products.
To view the wishlist, click on the heart icon in the top right of the page. In this example, the customer has favourited 3 items.

    Shopping cart

The shopping bag icon shows any items your customer has added to the shopping cart. Clicking on the icon will take the customer to the first page of the checkout process.
To checkout, the customer can either enter their email address and password if they already have an account with your shop, or check out as a guest, which will create and account for them in the process.
