Create shipping regions in Little Big Shop #

With Little Big Shop, you can create new shipping regions with specific shipping rates and conditions. Keep reading to learn how to do this.

Step-by-step instructions #

You can set up multiple shipping regions, along with options for Local Delivery and Click & Collect.

Select from various shipping rates, charge per item or per order and offer free shipping over a specified amount.

We’ll run through these below.

1. From the Admin dashboard, navigate to ‘Shop settings’ on the left-hand side and click on ‘Shipping’

2. In ‘Manage shipping regions’ click the ‘+ Add region’ button

3. You will be led to a page called ‘Region detail’, where you will set up details for this region

4. Summary

  • Region name: enter a region name that reflects the areas the shipping area will apply to
  • Add the destinations in this region: select the states you want to include in these shipping conditions

5. Shipping rates

There are four options to choose from:

  • Flat rate: you can charge a flat shipping rate per order or per item
  • Price-based rate: set up shipping rates based on the total price of a customer’s order
  • Weight-based rate: set up shipping rates based on the total weight of a customer’s order
  • Free shipping: set-up free shipping for your customers

Optional free shipping: When selecting the Flat rate, Price-based rate and Weight-based rate options,  you will be given the option to apply free shipping when an order subtotal exceeds a specified amount.

6. Local Delivery and Click & Collect

Little Big Shop allows you to set up Local Delivery, where you can set a delivery area using a radius or postcodes. Click here to read our help article with instructions.

You can also set up Click & Collect, which is a useful feature if you have a physical storefront or are a regular at local markets and want to provide the option for customers to collect an order there.

Change a regions status #

  • Edit a region: click on the region name to enter the ‘Region Detail’ page and start making your edits
  • Delete a Shipping region by clicking the trash icon in the ‘Actions’ column
  • Status: toggle the switch to enable or disable the region

Additional shipping information #

In the box under ‘Message to customer’, you can enter information that the customer will see in the shopping cart.
