Setting up shipping rates in Little Big Shop #
Little Big Shop allows you to choose the following shipping options:
- Flat rate
- Price-based rate
- Free Shipping
- Weight-based rate

1. Select the relevant region
- From the Admin Dashboard, click the ‘Shipping’ feature on the right-hand side
- Add a new region, or click on an existing region to edit and add shipping rates to
2. Choose the shipping option & enter the required fields
The Shipping options can be located in the ‘Shipping rates’ section. Let’s list what you need for each option.
Flat rate
- Delivery option name: name your shipping method (e.g., Standard Shipping)
- Estimated delivery time: enter expected delivery time (e.g., 3-5 business days)
- Rate (includes GST): input the shipping cost, including taxes
- Charge shipping per order or item: choose ‘Per Order’ (flat rate) or ‘Per Item’ (cost per item)
- Free shipping: optionally, set free shipping for orders over a certain amount
Price-based rate
- Delivery option name: name of the shipping method (e.g., Express Shipping)
- Estimated delivery time: enter the expected number of days for delivery (e.g., 3-5 business days)
- Price range: define the order value range for which this shipping rate will apply (e.g., $0.00 to $50.00)
- Rate (includes GST): set the shipping cost for the given price range, including GST
- Add range: add more price ranges if needed, each with a corresponding shipping rate
- Free shipping option: check this box if free shipping should apply when the order subtotal exceeds a certain amount.
Weight-based rate
- Delivery option name: enter a name for the shipping method (e.g., Standard Shipping)
- Est. delivery time: specify the estimated shipping duration (e.g., 3-5 business days)
- Weight range: define the weight limits for the shipping rate (e.g., from 0.00 kg to 5.00 kg)
- Rate (includes GST): set the shipping cost for orders within the specified weight range
- Add range: click to add additional weight ranges, each with its own rate
- Free shipping option: tick this box if free shipping should apply for orders over a certain amount
Free shipping
- Delivery option name: enter a name for the shipping method (e.g., ‘Standard Shipping’)
- Est. delivery time: Specify the estimated shipping duration (e.g., 3-5 business days).
- Rate (includes GST): Set the shipping cost for orders within the specified weight range.
3. Save your changes
- Scroll to the top of the page, and press ‘Save’ on the right of the screen
Tips #
- Set Accurate Delivery Times: Provide realistic delivery estimates to manage customer expectations
- Use Free Shipping incentives: Offering free shipping for orders above a certain amount can increase average order values
