Step-by-step guide #

1. To access the ‘Accept payments’ page

  • Navigate to the ‘Shop settings’ section in the left-hand menu of the admin dashboard
  • Select ‘Accept payments’

2. Configure your desired payment methods

To activate any payment option, you need to:

  • Drag the toggle to the right hand side of the option
  • Enter the required information
  • Click save
  • We strongly recommend you test your chosen payment method/s

We list what’s required for each:

PayPal: your PayPal email address

Credit cards:

  • eWay: An API key and a Password
  • Stripe: A Publishable key and a Secret key

PayID: Your PayID

BPAY: Your Biller code

Bank transfer: The Account name, BSB and Account number for the account you wish to be paid to

3. Set up payment terms for orders and provide further information

Set payment terms: Enter the number of days for payment terms if your customers pay in arrears. For example, if the invoice is due 7 days from the date the order is placed, enter 7.

Customise ‘Further information for customers’: This is the final message that is displayed to customers once their order is confirmed. Completing this section is optional.

4. Save your changes

Don’t forget to click on the ‘Save’ button on the top right-hand corner to apply your changes.

Tips #

  • Ensure that all payment methods are tested to confirm they are working correctly before enabling them for customers.
  • Clearly communicate the available payment options to your customers on your website to provide them with a seamless checkout experience.
  • Regularly review and update your payment settings to align with any changes in your business processes or customer preferences.
